On Fridays I give the students a document which shows on a daily basis what we will be doing in both skills and literature for the week. I do follow the document fairly closely. Every Monday (Tuesday if there is a holiday) there will be a vocabulary quiz. They are asked to define the word and use it in a sentence. Also on Monday they complete the vocabulary worksheet for the next quiz, and do a one page journal. Tests are posted on the document I hand out on Friday. The students are informed of their grades on Fridays. If you would like for me to email the document or your child's grades on Friday, please let me know.
Art...There will be no tests. If a student is absent on a day the project is due they do not have to make it up. They are encouraged to complete the assignment, but it is not required. They will not have homework.
