Anything in blue is a link to a file that can be downloaded/printed.
 
If there is a worksheet that cannot be downloaded/printed, you may obtain it from the homework center located outside the chorus room until 9:00 p.m.on week nights.

Monday:  
Computer Activity:  

 1.   Visit the web sites linked below on my classroom web page.  
 2.   Using the 1st link below in the "Related Sites," complete Online Onion Cell Activity
       and turn in.

Assignment:  
1.  Review the stages/phases of the cell cycle & mitosis (yellow booklet)
2.  Review Sheet (due at the end of the hour on Wednesday)

Study Tip 1:  When studying, have someone state what occurs and you tell what stage/phase it happened in.

ex.    
1.  Chromosomes line up in the middle.  Answer:  Stage 2 Mitosis/Metaphase
2.  Nucleus disappears.  Answer:  Stage 2 Mitosis/Prophase

3.  Cytoplasm divides.  Answer:  Stage 3 Cytokinesis     

Tuesday:  
1.  Discuss Meiosis and create Meiosis booklets
2.  Begin SG 3-3

Assignment: 
1.  Review the stages/phases of meiosis and mitosis (yellow booklets)
2.  Complete what you can on the review sheet.  It will be collected at the end of the class period on Wednesday.


Study Tip 2:  Re-visit the web links to study the pictures of various cells undergoing the phases of mitosis.  Be able to look at a picture and determine what phase the cell is in.

ex.    Which phase does this picture represent?  Answer:  Anaphase

Wednesday:  
1.  Compare/Contrast Meiosis and Mitosis
2.  Finish SG 3-3
3.  Collect
 Review Sheet at the end of the hour

Assignment: 
1.  Review the stages/phases of meiosis and mitosis (yellow booklets) as well as our comparison notes.

Study Tip 3:  When studying, have someone state a fact.  You tell whether it occurred in Mitosis, Meiosis or both

ex.  
1.  In a human skin cell, the process begins with 46 chromosomes.  Answer:  Both
2.  In a human skin cell, the process ends with 46 chromosomes:  Answer:  Mitosis.
